VIOTAS, an international Smart Grid technologies and services company is headquartered in Limerick. VIOTAS’ virtual power plant service builds on the company’s technologies that enable the use of electricity customers to balance the electricity grid, creating new revenue streams for industrial electricity consumers. Paddy is responsible for the strategic direction of VIOTAS, including the company’s research and development activities, and international expansion. He is a prominent thought leader in the Smart Grid technology industry across multiple markets and works closely with relevant regulatory bodies as an elected industry representative.
Since entering the electricity market in 2014, the company’s Irish portfolio has grown to be capable of offering similar grid balancing capability as some of the country’s largest power plants, while avoiding the cost and carbon emissions associated with building new grid infrastructure.
