Dr. Cathal Fitzgerald

Cathal FitzGerald is Senior Analyst at NESC which advises the Taoiseach. He was the project lead on NESC’s report ‘Ireland’s Future Power System and Economic Resilience’, which is shaping the Government’s institutional response to accelerating progress on Ireland’s energy transition. Cathal leads NESC’s research into the economy, national resilience and vulnerabilities. He has extensive knowledge of the public policy system and has worked in numerous government departments and agencies over his career.
