Jon leads the company’s regulatory strategy and engagement across Ireland’s gas and electricity markets. With more than 15 years’ experience in energy policy and technology, he has extensive expertise in conventional generation, combined heat and power (CHP), renewables, demand response and energy retail.
Since 2019, Jon has worked in the Irish energy market, previously leading VIOTAS’ Irish operations. In that role, he managed a 200 MW demand response portfolio and drove regulatory and commercial optimisation across capacity, DS3 and energy markets. He also served as Chair of the Demand Response Association of Ireland, advocating for demand-side flexibility in national energy policy.
Jon’s insights into market design and the commercial realities of the energy transition are informed by international experience in Australia, Germany, Brazil, and Great Britain.
