Alex has over 20-years experience in sustainability and energy engineering.
She holds a First Class Master of Science in Sustainable Energy Engineering from Waterford Institute of Technology (SETU), and an Honours Degree in Civil Engineering (BA, BAI) from Trinity College Dublin. Alex is also a Certified Energy Manager, accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers, and is a Registered Energy Auditor with SEAI.
She is highly experienced in implementing energy efficiency projects in the public, private and community sectors. Alex specialises in public sector energy management and regional energy action planning and has project managed the delivery of over €25m of energy projects since 2015.
She also has vast experience working on EU funded projects for the last 12 years, including such topics as NZEB retrofitting, accessing data for climate action planning, low carbon new build homes, community biogas supply, and establishing a One-Stop-Shops, to name a few.
Alex is the current Chairperson of the Association of Irish Energy Agencies (AIEA) since 2019.
