Rory leads the Erin Research Group, which investigates green hydrogen. He is a Co-Principal Investigator in MaREI, the Research Ireland Centre for Energy, Climate and Marine, where he co-leads the HyLIGHT hydrogen project, and leads the Energy Research Centre in the University of Galway Ryan Institute. Rory is the Coordinator of SH2AMROCK, a 5-year, €54-million project to build, operate, and grow Ireland’s first Hydrogen Valley. SH2AMROCK is a consortium of 28 members from 12 countries with funding of €7.5 million from the Clean Hydrogen Partnership, as well as €0.5 million from UK Research and Innovation.
