InterTradeIreland is the all-island economic development agency. Stuart leads the organisation’s strategic research programme, providing insights and policy engagement with the aim of supporting SMEs to scale, innovate, and trade across the all-island economy.
Recent highlights of his work include the reports Offshore Wind and Hydrogen Opportunities on the Island of Ireland and Identifying Circular Economy Opportunities on the Island of Ireland.
Prior to joining InterTradeIreland, Stuart worked at the Commission for Victims and Survivors and held postdoctoral fellowships at Dublin City University and Queen’s University Belfast. A historian of science by training, he also writes a monthly column on science and the environment for The Irish Times.
